Find Local Churches & Places of Worship

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

68 Oliver St, Rugby CV21 2LE, UK – 01788 541182

Local congregation of the worldwide church known as Latter-day Saints or Mormons. Church on Sunday starts at 10am with Sarcrament Meeting, the main meeting and is open to all. Families will listen to talks about the gospel of Jesus Christ and take the bread and water in remembrance of his sacrifice for us. The Church is Christian but neither Protestant or Catholic. It is a restored Church, based on the Church Jesus organised in the New Testament.

I moved to the area a couple of months ago and started attending church here. Everyone extended a very warm welcome. I love how everyone is involved in teaching and helping each other and the Sunday services always inspire me to be a better follower of Jesus Christ and a better person.

Find Recycling Centres

Hunters Lane Waste Recycling Centre

Hunters Ln, Rugby CV21 1EA, UK

A great place to recycle almost everything or just to throw it away. The staff always helpful and when asked will advise you where to place your items to recycle. Nearly always now there is a queue to get your vehicle in but it doesn't take too long. The charity shop is useful for the odd things and all electrical items are checked. Probably one of the best recycling centres in the area. There is a height restriction of 2 m or 6 foot 6 inches at the public entrance.

Great recycling centre. I remember the days when it was just a large hole in the ground and everything got thrown in. Now it's a set of carefully managed sections for disposal of different materials. Staff are helpful (even to helping empty your car for you) and will direct you to correct area for your waste. Onsite shop is also great and an ideal place to pick up a bargain.

Clews Recycling Ltd

17, Hunters Ln, Rugby CV21 1EA, UK – 01788 541549

Efficient reliable service for skip hire

Great service, reliable company. Prices are good!

SITA SUEZ UK Recycling Facility

256 Parkfield Rd, Rugby CV21 1EY, UK

Postcode was fun well the one the office gave cv21 1at

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Rugby

Café Vin Cinq Restaurant

25 High St, Rugby CV21 3BW, UK – 01788 541304

Fabulous meals chef! ;) Wonderful service by our waitress. ;) Will definitely visit again.

Very nice food but expensive. Pricing is slightly too high for the quality and portion sizes received. Lovely wine. One criticism is the speed of services as they give the feeling that they want you gone asap to reuse the table. Ordering too starter was 5 mins and another 5 between starter and main. Didn't have time to talk at all as we were from one course to the next.

Spice Lounge

318 Hillmorton Rd, Rugby CV22 5BP, UK – 01788 540222

Lovely food and attentive staff. We found this restaurant on Google as we wanted some food at the end of a day out. Food was good quality and not expensive. Even though we got in early it soon filled up, so it is popular with the locals too.

I’ve been to quite a few Indian’s including the famous ones on Brick Lane and I can safely say this is the best Indian I’ve ever been to. The service is brilliant and the food is amazing, the sauces are varied and you know you can order anything and it will be great. They have two great set deals as well which are great value for money!

Curry Club

128 Railway Terrace, Rugby CV21 3HE, UK – 01788 543998

Primary and Secondary Schools

Long Lawford Primary School

Holbrook Rd, Long Lawford, Rugby CV23 9AL, UK – 01788 543332

Good school, but improvements needed. A head teacher would be a start. My daughter enjoys most of her time here, but there is a huge lack of creative play and time for art. She feels she doesn't have fun most of the time, which is really sad. She used to love school in reception, then year one started and she says she doesn't enjoy it anymore. She never brings any drawings or artwork home. She doesn't get time for free play in the classroom and everything is too... Work focused for a 5 year old. She'd rather stay at home, and that's a big shame. The lack of a head teacher has definitely been felt, and her teacher leaving with just 4 days notice has unsettled her a lot. The sudden withdrawal from swimming was rubbish too, but that was down to the awful head teacher that was appointed - who has now thankfully left. Despite this, I know the teachers work really hard to keep the school running smoothly, and the teachers are fantastic. But overall, the school could be so much better.

Great teachers and school ethos

Crescent School

Bawnmore Rd, Rugby CV22 7QH, UK – 01788 521595

Public & Preparatory Schools

Bilton Grange Preparatory School

Dunchurch, Rugby CV22 6QU, UK – 01788 810217

Fantastic Building. Last I went down here was probably early 90s to have a look around not the building. But around the grounds where Cricket etc is played. I come across a huge swimming pool not in use ? Where it dips off. I ain't been back for ages. It looked very Victorian ? Statues all around this pool. Has it been cleaned out ? I love to see photo's of it.

Just an amazing place.

Rugby School

Lawrence Sheriff St, Rugby CV22 5EH, UK – 01788 556216

I'm going to be in the school for 5 years and the building and everything is amazing

Cool place. Nice buildings. Much scenic. Very school.

Blue Windmill Nursery

Addison Rd, Rugby CV22 7DJ, UK – 01788 571393

I love the Blue Windmill Nursery and know that my baby is looked well after while I am at work. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and adjust to individual needs of each child. My daughter seems very happy to spend her day with the other children in the baby room and explore the outdoor and indoor activities and has learnt a lot since she is going to the Blue Windmill. Also the Nursery encourages outside play independent of the weather and the children help to look after the ducks, rabbits and also do some gardening. I find it is amazing how varied and nutritious the onsite cooked meals are; there are child friendly risottos, curries, roasts, Macaroni & Cheese and many more. I am very happy that I found this Nursery.
