Banks

TSB Bank

26 Sheep St, Rugby CV21 3BX, UK – 01788 570221

Nice to have a TSB Bank back in Rugby after the brake up of it's previous owners. The staff are really friendly and very helpful, nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. We were very well received when we had to sort out a few things, in which it was dealt with swiftly and efficiently.

Lloyds Bank

14 Church St, Rugby CV21 3PL, UK – 0345 300 0000

Very helpful staff and offer a lot of self-service options, so usually you don’t have to queue for the basics. They also offer decent business accounts and will even sit down with you (with free tea and coffee) to help small businesses.

Helpful people, short queues and two deposit machines!

NatWest

9 North St, Rugby CV21 2AH, UK – 0345 788 8444

Jones Dental & Implant Clinic

7a Moultrie Rd, Rugby CV21 3BD, UK – 01788 565089

Many, many thanks to Will & his team for all the help and support received on my implant journey. Many years since I’ve had ‘proper teeth’. All the people at this surgery are amazingly kind and helpful. Nothing has ever been too much trouble.

I have been a patient here for 4 months now and I am more than happy with my choice. These guys focus on customer care and professional services. The staff is very helpful and the doctors are gold.

Had a root removed. Professional and up todate. I'd definitley consider implants in the future. Thanks .

First time in about 5 years that I have been to the dentist having had a really bad experience and being absolutely terrified! They were fantastic, really put me at my ease and kept me calm. More information than I have ever been given before. I will definitely now be going every 6 months rather than when I have to!! Highly recommended.

Clifton Road Surgery

26 Clifton Rd, Rugby CV21 3QF, UK – 01788 552211

Great surgery. All the doctors I have seen have been professional and knowledgeable. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Very caring surgery. Dr Byrd was brilliant with my mum when I went with her to have her knee injected and she was scared. Thank you also to the lady at the front desk who made sure mum was ok

Hospital of St Cross

Barby Rd, Rugby CV22 5PX, UK – 01788 572831

I would highly recommend the walk in clinic here. Best and quickest service I have ever experienced.

Fantastic caring staff, as always our NHS does an amazing job. The problem lies with underfunding. This is painfully obvious when you have to wait 5 hours to be seen. They are dramatically understaffed, as most hospitals are at the moment. ALL the doctors and nurses I've ever encountered at St Cross have been trying their hardest to keep the ship afloat. They're always kind and well mannered and go the extra mile to work as quickly as they can whilst doing their job efficiently. I recently broke my toe and luckily for me, I was seen, xrayed, treated and out in under an hour. Fabulous team of dedicated professionals.

Find Local Churches & Places of Worship

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

68 Oliver St, Rugby CV21 2LE, UK – 01788 541182

Local congregation of the worldwide church known as Latter-day Saints or Mormons. Church on Sunday starts at 10am with Sarcrament Meeting, the main meeting and is open to all. Families will listen to talks about the gospel of Jesus Christ and take the bread and water in remembrance of his sacrifice for us. The Church is Christian but neither Protestant or Catholic. It is a restored Church, based on the Church Jesus organised in the New Testament.

I moved to the area a couple of months ago and started attending church here. Everyone extended a very warm welcome. I love how everyone is involved in teaching and helping each other and the Sunday services always inspire me to be a better follower of Jesus Christ and a better person.

Find Recycling Centres

Hunters Lane Waste Recycling Centre

Hunters Ln, Rugby CV21 1EA, UK

A great place to recycle almost everything or just to throw it away. The staff always helpful and when asked will advise you where to place your items to recycle. Nearly always now there is a queue to get your vehicle in but it doesn't take too long. The charity shop is useful for the odd things and all electrical items are checked. Probably one of the best recycling centres in the area. There is a height restriction of 2 m or 6 foot 6 inches at the public entrance.

Great recycling centre. I remember the days when it was just a large hole in the ground and everything got thrown in. Now it's a set of carefully managed sections for disposal of different materials. Staff are helpful (even to helping empty your car for you) and will direct you to correct area for your waste. Onsite shop is also great and an ideal place to pick up a bargain.

Clews Recycling Ltd

17, Hunters Ln, Rugby CV21 1EA, UK – 01788 541549

Great service, reliable company. Prices are good!

SITA SUEZ UK Recycling Facility

256 Parkfield Rd, Rugby CV21 1EY, UK

Postcode was fun well the one the office gave cv21 1at

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Rugby

Dilruba Restaurant

155-157 Railway Terrace, Rugby CV21 3HQ, UK – 01788 542262

One of the best curries I've had! Nice place, friendly staff and well priced. Couldn't recommend more.

As good as any other in rugby but not outstanding used to be better !!!.madras is so hot flavours are absent. Tikka isn't defined enough.indian takeaways are all fairly mediocre now. Guess they are struggling with margins.

Café Vin Cinq Restaurant

25 High St, Rugby CV21 3BW, UK – 01788 541304

Very nice food but expensive. Pricing is slightly too high for the quality and portion sizes received. Lovely wine. One criticism is the speed of services as they give the feeling that they want you gone asap to reuse the table. Ordering too starter was 5 mins and another 5 between starter and main. Didn't have time to talk at all as we were from one course to the next.

Very nice old style cafe, great food and drink with fast service. There is a premium price but it's a nice place so it's not to bad

Pizza Express

23-24 High St, Rugby CV21 3BG, UK – 01788 553220

Food isn't bad but not up to the standard of other pizza express'. Much of the wine is often not on the menu. Staff are friendly but few and far between, so ordering and paying takes far too long! We were waiting at least 20 minutes after finishing our mains until we were able to get hold of a member of staff. We wanted deserts but after such a long wait we decided to pay using the app and leave. Overall rather disappointing.

Fab place to eat! Staff are amazing at helping my friend and I who have physical disabilities. They also custom make her own pizza recipe each time! Absolutely incredible staff!

Best school ever

Long Lawford Primary School

Holbrook Rd, Long Lawford, Rugby CV23 9AL, UK – 01788 543332

Good school, but improvements needed. A head teacher would be a start. My daughter enjoys most of her time here, but there is a huge lack of creative play and time for art. She feels she doesn't have fun most of the time, which is really sad. She used to love school in reception, then year one started and she says she doesn't enjoy it anymore. She never brings any drawings or artwork home. She doesn't get time for free play in the classroom and everything is too... Work focused for a 5 year old. She'd rather stay at home, and that's a big shame. The lack of a head teacher has definitely been felt, and her teacher leaving with just 4 days notice has unsettled her a lot. The sudden withdrawal from swimming was rubbish too, but that was down to the awful head teacher that was appointed - who has now thankfully left. Despite this, I know the teachers work really hard to keep the school running smoothly, and the teachers are fantastic. But overall, the school could be so much better.

Great teachers and school ethos
