Hospital of St Cross

Barby Rd, Rugby CV22 5PX, UK – 01788 572831

I have just spent a week on cedar ward well what can i say 5 star service my quality of care was exceptional above and beyond there caring compassionate reassured me every step of the way i felt very cared for from the dr metcalfe and is registar to the aesthetics put me at ease was not worried at all.And the nurses well there just wonderful hannah and gemma and catherine were just lovely but so were all the rest there deserve so much more than there paid but you can tell there so dedicated to there profession i enjoyed it so much i didnt want to go home oh and the food was excellent too.

Regularly visit here, including to take my children to outpatients appointments, parking can be difficult (although easier than UHCW) and although it is great that the first 30mins are free, the next quantity available is 3hours, which is far too much for a standard appointment (however at under £2 once again better/cheaper than UHCW). Can't fault any of the staff I've seen in numerous departments, simply NHS waiting list times of many many months can be a little frustrating.

Whitehall Medical Practice

Lower Hillmorton Rd, Morton Gardens, Rugby CV21 3AQ, UK – 01788 542212

Just seen the new Dr Clapton. She was excellent and did not rush me at all. A welcome addition to Whitehall Med.

One of the best GP service our family received. Considering all Medical Center are extremely busy, Whitehall's staffs are really helpful and always managed to speak to doc either on call or in person.

Clifton Road Surgery

26 Clifton Rd, Rugby CV21 3QF, UK – 01788 552211

Best surgery I've had. Hard to get appointment but that's a national problem, not their fault. I have long a term health problem and all of the doctors I saw their were great. I've always found the reception staff perfectly friendly and have seen then deal very calmly with some very difficult patients. I have now left Rugby and hope my new surgery will be as good.

Converted Victorian building with good access to ground floor, limited parking so usually park on paradise street as free. Phone at 8am on redial to get appointment for same day or wait after morning surgery at 11 30 if they say it's OK. Nurse practitioner triage and touch screen check-in, piped music is annoying and makes hearing announcements hard as you tune out. Nice staff and online bookings for prescriptions etc.

The new NHS website below is very well worth a look. Hospitals are not only listed but evaluated. I certainly know which ones I would go to! At the very least you will know what questions to ask if you are sent to one which has not entered its data. Good luck!
