Cinemas around Rugby

Cineworld Cinemas - Rugby

Junction One, Leicester Rd, Rugby CV21 1RW, UK – 0871 200 2000

Nice cinema. Nice friendly staff. Seats are comfortable enough but not great. No where near as nice as the showcase in Coventry which recline. But can't knock cineworld. Film was good, popcorn was good, staff helpful. What more can you say 😂

Cineworld used to be one of the best cinema chains out there but it's now being left behind by the reclining armchair environment's of its competitors. The seats are OK, nothing special and a tad uncomfortable if you are watching a long movie. Facilities are fine, but nothing to get excited about. Sound and projection are definitely being left behind (no Atmos!) With tickets costing ever more, and strong rivals nearby, it needs a revamp urgently if it is to survive.

Theatres for Rugby

Really great small venue, with a very professional setting. Shows were brilliantly produced and suited the venue perfectly as well.

Went to see James and the Giant Peach this afternoon and was blown away. The acting was superb. The little lad that played James was utterly incredible. What an angelic voice he has! And the lullaby song was beautiful - had me bawling like a baby. The costume team are obviously extremely talented (I work in the costume industry and was blown away). My 5 year old, who doesn't have the greatest attention span, was mesmerised the whole way through. A massive well done to everyone involved. My expectations were well and truly exceeded and I would thoroughly recommend to everyone. The only thing I'd have loved would have been if the cast had come out after, like the panto cast did at Christmas as my little girl would have loved to have met the spider in particular (though my favourite was the earthworm - utterly brilliant costume). We loved it. 5*s well and truly deserved. Thank you for a fantastic afternoon. We've always enjoyed every performance we have seen here.
